Infinite Campus Rollout / Home (2024)

  • Cumberland County Schools (CCS) recently transitioned to Infinite Campus, our new Student Information System. This statewide transition was required by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI), and we are among the first to implement it. Unfortunately, we’ve encountered some challenges during the implementation of the new system, such as delays in processing enrollments, occasional error messages and transportation assignment issues, but our team is working diligently to address these issues and support our families during this transition. While these challenges are beyond our control and similar issues are being experienced by other districts across the state, please know that our team is working through the issues as quickly as possible.

As we transition to Infinite Campus, the new Student Information System here’s what you need to know to ensure a smooth start to the school year.

    Key Points:

    • Working Through Issues: Please be advised that it may take 45-60 minutes to process each student registration. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience.

    • Online Enrollment Encouraged: To help expedite the process, we strongly encourage all families to enroll online at https://www.ccs.k12.nc.us/enrollment. Save your student’s application number for reference, as this will speed up their enrollment and assignment to transportation and classes.

    • In-Person Enrollment & Hotline: If you encounter difficulties with online enrollment or need to enroll your student in person, please be prepared for potential wait times. These delays are part of the transition to the new system, and we appreciate your patience as we work through them. For assistance, please let your building administrators know.

    Infinite Campus Parent Portal

The launch of the Infinite Campus Parent Portal has been delayed until October 1, 2024, because of unexpected implementation glitches beyond our control. We are working closely with NCDPI to address these issues and ensure a smooth rollout.

In the meantime, while the Parent Portal is not available, parents can use their child's Campus Student Portal account to monitor academic progress. Students will have access to their accounts during the first week of school. To view information such as grades, assignments and attendance, parents will need to use their child’s login credentials.

The Parent Portal will eventually provide features including announcements, assignments, attendance tracking, academic planning, grades and class schedules, document access, and messaging and notifications. Thank you for your patience as we work through this transition.
